Description

White Cross is a cross dating from around 1370, which was restored in 1864. It is made of ashlar stone and features a restored foliate cross and shaft, standing on an original hexagonal base that is raised on a plinth of seven steps. The structure includes moulded panels with pointed arches that contain heraldic shields and tracery, along with castellation. This cross was erected to commemorate the decline of the Plague and is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
