Description
Holy Trinity Church is a parish church built around 1870. It features a nave, chancel, and aisle, constructed from dressed stone with a slate roof. The south front of the church includes lancet clerestory lights above three triple lancets and a paired lancet in the south aisle, along with stepped buttresses. There is a plank door with cast-iron hinges set under a chamfered pointed arch, and a paired lancet leading to the chancel. The porch has a moulded pointed arch on pilasters, with splayed side-openings and corner buttresses, and features returned hood-moulding. The doors here are also plank with cast-iron tendril hinges, placed under an enriched moulded pointed arch.
On the east front, there is a window in the Perpendicular style with a trefoil head, flanked by buttresses. The west front displays three stained-glass lancets in ashlar surrounds, with a smaller group of windows above. It has plank doors with cast-iron tendril hinges under a moulded pointed arch, flanked by buttresses, and single stained-glass lancets in the aisles. The north front features the chancel with twin ashlar stacks supporting a bell, and a vestry with a triple lancet. The nave and aisle mirror the south front, also with an ashlar stack. Inside, the church is adorned with stained glass and has a hammer-beam roof in the nave.
