Description
This building is a barn and stables that was later converted into a tennis pavilion. It dates from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the early 20th century. The structure is built of sandstone rubble and features a pantile roof. The east wall has a door with a quoined ashlar surround, a flat arched lintel, and a plaque inscribed "1709." There are windows with plain reveals on either side of the door, and to the right, there is another door with plain reveals. On the west side, 20th-century alterations include a central gabled timber projection with an open first-floor gallery. Inside, the ground floor ceiling has chamfered main joists, and the roof is supported by interrupted tie-beam trusses with collars.
