Description
The churchyard cross, located about 7 yards southeast of the Church of St James, dates back to the 14th century and was restored in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a square, three-stepped plinth from the 19th century. The base of the cross is square and from the 14th century, with its upper edge chamfered to create an octagonal shape, along with moulded angles and an ogee-arched niche on the west side. The octagonal tapered shaft, along with the embattled capital and cusped cross, were added in the 19th century.
