Description
This stable block, located approximately 15 meters north-east of the Town Well in Credenhill, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a stone slate roof and is designed in an L-shape. The building features a cart entry on the west side and steps leading up to a loft at the south gable end. It has two storeys and a dentilled eaves cornice.
On the west front, the gable end of the left wing includes a semi-circular headed recess. There are two semi-circular headed windows on both floors, and to the right on the first floor, there is a similar semi-circular headed opening alongside the cart entry and a doorway at ground level. The south gable end also has similar semi-circular headed openings, along with an external stair leading to the first-floor entry.
