Description

This is a group of three headstones located against the south wall of the nave at the Church of St. Helen. The headstones date from 1719, 1742, and 1748 and are made of ashlar and slate. The left headstone features a scrolled head and a moulded border, with an illegible inscription and the date 1748. The central stone has a scroll top and is dedicated to John Knight, dated 1719. The right slate stone has an incised flourish and commemorates John West, dated 1742.
