Description

Neale's Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with a west wing added in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features hipped and gabled roofs covered with plain tiles, which were replaced in the late 20th century. The building retains elements such as a chamfered plinth and a first-floor band, along with cogged and dentillated eaves. It has two gable stacks and a single external side wall stack, and it is two storeys high with garrets, arranged in a T-plan with four bays.

The front of the farmhouse has a projecting west wing on the left, which includes three sash windows. To the right is a crenellated canted brick porch from the mid-19th century, featuring a panelled door and fanlight, flanked by single round-headed lights. Beyond the porch are additional single sash windows. Above, there are six sash windows. The southeast gable has two blocked garret windows. The rear elevation includes a gabled wing to the right, while to the left is a canted hipped leaded bay window with three plain sashes, and a sash window to the right. Above this bay window is an off-centre stair light with a segmental head, flanked on the left by a casement window and on the right by a sash. Further to the right is another casement window, and at the return angle, there are two casement windows. Above, there are two sashes with segmental heads. The northeast gable features a Yorkshire sash to the left and two sashes above, all with segmental heads. The northwest side has a hipped porch on the left and a two-storey hipped bay window on the right, which contains a pair of sashes on each floor. The fenestration on this side is irregular, with elements from the 19th and 20th centuries.
