Description

Flintham House is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on Flintham Main Street. The building is constructed of brick with a roof made of pantiles and Roman tiles, and it features some rendered areas. It has a brick plinth, a first-floor band, and half-round brick eaves, with coped gables supported by kneelers and three gable stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays in an L-plan layout.

The windows are a mix of glazing bar and plain sashes, with the front ground floor windows featuring segmental rubbed brick heads. The east front includes a central reeded doorcase with matching brackets supporting an open pediment, a fanlight, and a panelled door, flanked by single sashes. Above this, there are three sashes. The south gable has a sash window to the left and a French window to the right.

The south front has a late 18th-century two-storey addition on the left, which includes an off-centre door with a gabled hood on curved brackets, a casement window to the left, and a 19th-century hipped bay window with barred casements to the right. There is also a large barred Yorkshire sash window to the right, with a casement and a Yorkshire sash above it. The return angle features a large lean-to addition with two casements, and the west gable has a small casement above.

On the street side, there is a brick boundary wall with ramped slab coping, a square brick pier, and a close boarded door, extending 20 meters in length. To the right of the wall, there are two sashes, followed by a barred casement and a Yorkshire sash. Above these, there are two 20th-century casements, and to the left, there is an illegible datestone.
