Description
West Lodge at Flintham Hall is a lodge built around 1853 by T. C. Hine for T. B. T. Hildyard, designed in the Renaissance Revival style. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features a plain tile roof. It has a chamfered plinth, a string course, and coped parapets, along with shouldered ogee gables. The lodge is a single-storey structure with three bays arranged in a T-plan.
The windows are primarily mullioned casements, with some featuring shouldered designs. The northeast front includes a gabled bay on the left with a parapeted bay window that has five lights, and above it is a quatrefoil with a sculptured cockerel. To the right, there is a porch with a moulded round-headed doorway, and the right side has a round-headed window. Both the window and door are topped with a linked hood mould that has foliate stops.
On the northwest front, there is a five-light bay window with a quatrefoil above it, followed by a casement window. Further to the right is a 20th-century flat-roofed addition with a casement window. The west gable features another casement, while the rear elevation has a door on the left and two casements on the right.
