Description
The barn and adjoining stable at Hall Farm date from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of brick with a rubble plinth and stone quoins, topped with pantile roofs. The building features double corbelled eaves and coped gables with kneelers. It is two storeys tall and consists of three bays for the barn on the left and two bays for the stable.
The barn has a central pair of doors, which are partially filled with corrugated iron. Above the doors, there are four blocked breathers and two blocked square pitch holes. On the east side, there is a central stable door with a segmental head and hood, along with a semi-circular rubble loading platform. Above this door, there are eight breathers.
To the west of the stable, there is a blocked casement and a slatted casement, flanked by single stable doors with stone lintels. Above these doors, there are two casements with timber lintels. The south gable features a close boarded door and a blocked doorway above it. On the east side, there is a hatch to the right and three small casements above, along with a large 20th-century casement to the right.
