Description

This chest tomb, located one metre east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, is dedicated to John Bley and dates from 1731. It is constructed of ashlar and slate, featuring a rectangular shape with panelled sides set on a chamfered plinth and topped with a moulded cornice. The south side of the tomb has an inscribed slate plaque. John Bley was a local benefactor.
