Description

Glebe Farmhouse is a house and cottage that has been combined into a single residence, dating from 1797 to 1798. It is constructed of red brick, with some blue brick, and features plain tile roofs and dentil eaves. The main house, built in 1797, has two red brick gable stacks and stands two and a half storeys tall with three bays. The central doorway has a panelled door and an overlight, with a hood supported by a single pair of brackets. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sashes. Above, there are three smaller sashes under segmental arches, and on the top floor, there are three small glazing bar sashes. The left gable is inscribed in blue brick with "1797."

To the left of the main house, set back, is a two-storey, single bay wing that has a single glazing bar sash under a segmental arch on each floor. Attached to the left is the former cottage, built in 1798, which is two and a half storeys tall with two bays and a red brick stack on the left gable. This section has a doorway with a plank door, and to the left is a single glazing bar sash, both under segmental arches. Each floor of this cottage also features a single glazing bar sash, and the left gable is inscribed in blue brick with "1798."
