Description

The swimming pool at Stanford Hall, built in the late 1930s by Messrs. Allom for Sir Julian Cahn, features rough hewn rock, ashlar, and concrete. The pool includes three curved concrete diving boards and a single slide at the east end, with a water course at the west end. Surrounding the pool on the west, north, and south sides is a wall made of rock and ashlar, which incorporates seats, some of which are covered, as well as rock pools and grottos. The west side also has a camouflaged doorway.
