Description
The pavilion in the gardens of Stanford Hall is a Grade II listed structure built in the late 1930s, likely designed by Messrs. Allom for Sir Julian Cahn. It features rock-face ashlar and ashlar construction with a hipped fish-scale slate roof. The pavilion is a single storey building with three bays. It has single outer pilaster strips and a central archway supported by Doric columns, while the outer bays are under flat arches supported by similar responds. There is a moulded entablature above the outer bays. The central bay includes incised panelled spandrels, and each of the outer single bays has a single incised shaped panel above. Curving rock-face ashlar walls extend from the right and left, enclosing three semi-circular steps.
