Description
This garden urn, located 20 meters west of Flintham Hall, dates from 1784 and is possibly the work of John Carr of York. It is made of ashlar and features a stepped square plinth. The urn itself is egg-shaped with a tapered stem and a gadrooned bowl. The cover is topped with an artichoke finial and decorated with foliate swags. It has a pair of ornate horseshoe handles and four lion masks. This urn is one of a pair that were originally located at Ossington Hall.
