Description
Home Farmhouse and adjoining farm buildings date from the early 19th century and late 19th century. They are constructed of brick and coursed rubble, featuring hipped and gabled roofs made of pantiles and slate. The buildings have a brick plinth, rebated eaves, and pedimented gables. The farmhouse is T-shaped, with a width of five bays and a depth of three bays, and consists of one and two storeys. There are two ridge stacks and a single gable stack.
The windows are primarily Yorkshire sashes with segmental heads. On the north front of the house, to the left, there is a single-storey wash-house with a hipped roof, a door, and a small casement. To the right of the wash-house is a plank door with a bargeboarded hood, flanked by a sash on the left and a larger casement on the right. Further right, there is another casement and a casement in a blocked opening. Above, there is a blocked opening flanked by one sash on the left and two sashes on the right. The southwest side of the house features a Yorkshire sash and a door with a segmental head, with a sash above and a projecting stair enclosure to the right that has a small casement on the west side. The wash-house has two close boarded doors.
The west front has a double gable to the left, with an off-centre casement that has a timber lintel. To the right, there is a sash window. The wash-house also has a close boarded door and a sash. Above this, there are two sashes. The adjoining stable, located to the southeast, features a door with a segmental head on the left and a sliding door flanked by single casements on the right. Above this section, there is a blocked opening to the left and two casements with segmental heads to the right. A single-storey stable to the right has two casements.
