Description
Linden Lea Shop adjoining Number 97 is a building consisting of two cottages and a shop, dating from the late 18th century with early 19th-century additions. It is constructed of red brick with some rubble and features a pantile roof. The building has three red brick ridge stacks and dentil eaves. It is set on a plinth in parts, with rubble in the bays occupied by the shop.
The structure is two storeys high and has eight bays, with the single left bay and the right two bays being from the 19th century. From left to right, the facade includes two tripartite glazing bar Yorkshire sashes, a doorway that is two steps up with a part-glazed door, a reeded surround, and a hood supported on two brackets. Next is a single similar Yorkshire sash, another doorway with a panelled door and similar surround and hood, another single sash, a tripartite shop window, and a doorway with a panelled door that is three steps up.
Extending over the shop window and the adjacent door is a dentil cornice supported on three brackets. All ground floor sashes are set under segmental arches, while the upper floor features five similar sashes.
