Description
Number 119, which includes a shop occupied by John W. Wood, Butcher, is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century, with later 19th-century alterations. The building is constructed of red brick and features a concrete pantile roof with two red brick gable stacks and dogtooth eaves. It is two and a half storeys tall and has two bays.
On the ground floor, there is a single tripartite glazing bar cross Yorkshire sash window set under a segmental arch. To the left, there is a late 19th-century shop window with a decorative wooden panel below, flanked by single panelled pilaster strips and topped with an entablature. Above this, there are two tripartite glazing bar Yorkshire sash windows, each under segmental arches, and on the top floor, there are two casement windows, with the left one featuring glazing bars.
