WILLOUGHBY ON THE WOLDS MAIN STREET (east side) High Elm Farmhouse and adjoining wall

GV. II Farmhouse and adjoining wall. Early and mid C19. Early C19 house of red brick. Slate roof. Two gable and single ridge red brick stacks. Dogtooth eaves. Set on a plinth.

Two and a half storeys, with cellar, four bays. Left cellar with single glazing bar casement. Above, doorway with panelled door and overlight, fluted pilaster strips topped with single patera support two brackets and hood. To the left is a single tripartite sash with two similar sashes to the right. Above are three similar sashes with single smaller sash over the doorway, all under segmental arches. On the top floor are four similar smaller sashes.

Attached to the right corner of the house is a late C19 low red brick wall with painted coping and decorative cast iron railings. This extends for about a single metre, turns at a right angle and extends in front of the house for about 17 metres, being broken by a small gateway with similar iron gate.
