Description
This is a mill, attached house, and bridge dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The mill is constructed of rubble with red brick patching and has a pantile roof. It is one and a half storeys high with two bays. There is a doorway with a plank door, and to the right, a single segmental arched window opening. Above this is another doorway with a plank door that drops below the lintel of the ground floor doorway. To the right of this doorway is a single glazing bar sash window. Adjacent to the mill is a lean-to made of red brick and pantile, which contains the remains of a wood and iron water wheel.
The attached house, which was refronted in the late 19th century, is made of red brick except for the rubble left gable wall. It is two storeys high with three bays. The central feature is a 20th-century gabled porch made of red brick and pantile, which has a panelled door. On either side of the porch are single glazing bar sash windows, with two similar sashes located above, all featuring rendered wedge lintels. In front of the mill is a footbridge made of concrete and ashlar, which has a single red brick arch at the rear. The interior of the mill contains a single stone nut.
