Description

Church Farmhouse and adjoining Church Farm Cottage date from the 18th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with a pantile roof and a dressed stone plinth. The farmhouse has a brick plinth, a first-floor band, a single coped gable incorporating kneelers, and three gable and two ridge stacks. The cottages, two and three bays wide, are arranged over two storeys plus garrets. The cottage to the left has a central, close-boarded door flanked by single glazing bar sashes, all with segmental heads. Above are two Yorkshire sashes. The west gable displays a 20th-century casement window on each floor to the left, and a Yorkshire sash above, to the right. The farmhouse to the right has a 19th-century, two-storey, single-bay addition to the east, and another single-storey 19th-century addition to the right. The south front features a panelled door flanked to the left by a blocked door and a Yorkshire sash, and to the right by another Yorkshire sash. Beyond, there are two further Yorkshire sashes, the one to the left having a segmental head. Above, three Yorkshire sashes all with segmental heads.
