Description
The Croft is a cottage dating from the early 17th century. It features remnants of timber framing with early 19th century red brick nogging and a blue brick band at the base. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there are two red brick gable stacks, with the right stack being external. The building is one and a half storeys high and was originally three bays, but now only two bays remain, as the left bay is missing. There is a doorway with a 20th century door, and to the right, there are two 20th century casement windows. Above these are two small 20th century casements. The front retains some original timbers, including part of the wall plate, one and a half posts, and two further beams. The rear also has remnants of the wall plate, some beams, and a single post. To the left, there are extensive 20th century extensions. Inside, there is a studded panel with two arched braces.
