Description

The ice house located 500 meters southeast of Thoresby Hall dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and brick. On the eastern side, there are remains of a doorway featuring a segmental head and brick piers. The structure has a barrel-vaulted chamber with two doorways on the northern side, one of which has a round head. The overall dimensions of the ice house are approximately 6 meters by 4 meters.
