Description

Cross Lane Level Crossing House is a house that was formerly a crossing-keeper's cottage, built around 1848. It is constructed of gault brick and is colourwashed, featuring hipped and gabled roofs made of Welsh slate, along with blue brick dressings. The house has two gable stacks and a single ridge stack that are tall and moulded. It is a single-storey building with a cruciform plan. The central bay is canted and contains two round-headed glazing bar casements. To the north, there is a flat-roofed porch with a single round-headed fixed light, and to the south, there is another single round-headed fixed light.
