Description

The orangery, located 10 meters north of 50A on Westgate in Southwell, is an early 19th-century structure that was restored in 1989. It is built of brick with a pantile roof and features a partly rendered brick plinth. The building is single storey and has a wooden front with pilasters and a pedimented gable. The central entrance consists of a glazed door flanked by tall glazing bar sash windows, all topped with round-headed lights that have Gothic glazing bars. This orangery is included for its group value with No 50, as it originally stood in its grounds.
