Description
The Shoulder of Mutton Public House is a former public house that has been converted into a house. It was built in the mid-18th century, raised around 1800, with a mid-19th century addition. The building is constructed of brick and features plain tile and pantile roofs. It has a first floor band, cogged eaves, and two gable stacks. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with those on the ground and first floors having segmental heads. Each floor has similar window arrangements, featuring a small central sash flanked by larger sashes, all slightly off-centre. There is a near-central 19th century panelled door, with the top two panels glazed and a segmental head above. To the right, there is a single-storey lean-to addition with an altered glazing bar sash, and on the left side, there is a stable door. At the rear, there is a full-width two-storey lean-to addition.
