Description
This sundial, located 80 meters east of Caunton Manor, dates from around 1815 and is made of ashlar stone. It features a moulded square base and stem, topped with a moulded cornice that supports a bronze dial. The stem is adorned with lion masks on the north and south sides, while the east side has a blank panel. The west panel is inscribed with the words, "Erected in memory of Lord Wellington's great Victory in 1815."
