Description

This is a house dating from around 1840, with later alterations in the late 19th century. It is located on High Street, Gedling, near Arnold. The house is constructed of brick, with a roughcast finish, and has a slate roof. A partial rendered plinth is present, and there are two gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and originally had three bays, although it now possesses an L-shaped plan with a catslide roofed rear addition from the late 19th century. The window openings have segmental heads. The front of the house features a central panelled door with an overlight, flanked by single sash windows. Above these, there are three large casement windows, with the central window being smaller than the others. On the south side, to the right, are two small casement windows, with an altered casement window above them. The rear of the house mostly has 20th-century windows.
