Description
The cascade and pool, located 20 meters north of the garden wall at Newstead Abbey, date back to the early 18th century and were restored in the late 20th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared rubble and concrete. The design features a stepped cascade with ramped flanking walls and a mask spout, topped with concrete coping. The oval pool is approximately 4 meters wide. This structure is included in the listing for its group value.
