Description
The barn, stables, and pigsty at Rectory Farmhouse date from the mid-18th century and mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick with pantile roofs and plain tile verges, featuring moulded brick eaves. The structure is single storey and consists of ten bays arranged in an L-plan. The barn, which has seven bays, includes a door and a casement on the east side, an altered barn door with a segmental head to its right, and two superimposed casements further right, along with a garage door. The north gable features a casement and a loading door above. The roof is a queen post design with struts and braces, incorporating re-used cruck. The stables to the south have three doors and two casements with segmental heads. To the east, there are three round-headed altered openings containing a door flanked by single casements. The pigsty to the west has two doors and feeding hatches, along with a cart opening to the west. This building is included for its group value only.
