Description
New Haggs Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1873 by E. W. Godwin for Earl Cowper. It is constructed of brick with plain tile roofs and features two gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays in a single range. The windows are glazing bar casements with segmental heads. On the north side, there are two casements on the left, followed by a door with a segmental head and another casement. Above this, there is a cross-eaves dormer with a catslide roof. The south side has a central door with a 20th-century timber porch, flanked by single triple casements. Above this, there is a large gabled tile-hung dormer to the left. The west gable has a casement. This farmhouse is part of a group of similar farmhouses and cottages designed by E. W. Godwin for Earl Cowper around 1872 to 1878.
