Description

Pear Tree Farmhouse is a mid-18th century brick farmhouse with a pantiled roof. It has dentillated eaves, brick coped gables with kneelers, and two gable stacks. The building is three storeys high and originally had three bays. A 20th-century portico with two Tuscan columns on square bases and a moulded hood now sits centrally, containing an eight-panelled door within timber jambs and a plain overlight. Flanking the portico are single glazing bar sashes, with three similar sashes above, and a further three glazing bar sashes above that, all with rubbed brick heads.

To the right of the main farmhouse is an 18th-century brick service wing with a pantiled roof and one bay. To the right again is a lean-to brick extension dating to the 19th and 20th centuries, also with a pantiled roof. All doors and windows are 20th-century replacements. The service wing has a 20th-century glazing bar casement to its left and a single glazing bar sash with a rubbed brick head to its right. Above the sash is a similar sash.
