Description

The K6 telephone kiosk in Everton was designed in 1935 by Giles Gilbert Scott. This standardised design is made of cast iron and is painted red overall. It features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with applied crowns on the top panels instead of perforated ones. There are rectangular, white display signs that read "TELEPHONE" beneath the shallow, curved roof. The internal equipment is modern. The kiosk is located on the High Street and has a strong visual connection with three Grade II listed buildings: Metcalfe House to the north, and North End Cottage and Rose Cottage to the south-east.
