Description
The property comprises a farmhouse and associated farm buildings dating to the early 19th century. The farmhouse is constructed of brick with a hipped slate roof and half-round brick eaves, featuring four side wall stacks. It is two storeys high, with a square plan and originally three bays. The main east front features a central Classical style doorcase with an open pediment and geometrical overlight, flanked by single 19th-century canted bay windows with three plain sashes. Above, three glazing bar sashes are set within rubbed brick segmental heads. The south side has a single glazing bar sash window, and above it, a 20th-century casement. The north side, facing the street, has a blocked cellar window to the right, above which is a casement, and above that, a plain sash, all with segmental heads. The rear elevation incorporates a round headed stair light and two 20th-century casements.
Adjacent to the farmhouse is a stable range constructed of brick with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high, with three bays, featuring a stable door to the left, a door to its right (both with segmental heads), and a glazed door with a 20th-century casement to the right. Above, there are two glazing bar lights and a single Yorkshire sash window.
A brick pigeoncote with a pyramidal pantile roof and cogged eaves stands to the left. It has a central stable door flanked to the left by a slatted opening and to the right by a diamond ventilator. Above, a central round headed recess contains six tiers of dentillated pigeonholes, flanked by three dentillated shelves, and above that, headers in the form "W R."
To the left of the pigeoncote is a stable with a granary above, built of brick with a pantile roof. This includes brick and stone stairs with a kennel underneath and a stable door with a segmental rubbed brick head. The upper level has a plank door to the left and a single glazing bar casement to the right.
Finally, a threshing barn to the left, with a hipped pantile roof and dentillated eaves, has a central segmental headed barn door on its north front, flanked to the left and right by single shaped breathers on each floor. The east front has a rebated doorway with a segmental head and shaped breather. Above, a pitch hole with a hatch is flanked by single shaped breathers.
