Description
Rowan Tree Farm and Stable is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a pantile roof and features cogged eaves and tumbled coped gables. The building is three storeys high and has two bays, forming an L-plan. The main east front includes a central 19th-century timber porch with a latticed gable and a part-glazed door. This porch is flanked by single Yorkshire sash windows, with two similar sashes above, all featuring segmental heads. There are two additional Yorkshire sashes above these.
On the north side, there is a single Yorkshire sash with a segmental head, and above it, a similar sash with a square head. Adjoining the house is a 19th-century stable, also built of brick with a pantile roof, which is two storeys high and has two bays. It has a rubble plinth and dentillated eaves, with a single rear wall stack. The east front of the stable has a setback bay to the left with a stable door and a slatted opening, both with segmental heads, and to the right, there is a single Yorkshire sash. Above this, there are two slatted openings. The north gable features a doorway to the left and a brick and stone stairway to the right, with another doorway above, all with segmental heads.
