Description

Gainsborough House is an early 19th-century brick house with a pantile roof. It has cogged eaves and two gable stacks. The house is two storeys high with two bays, and features a continuous rear outshut. The east front has a central round-headed doorway flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. Above the door, there is a central round-headed blocked recess flanked by similar single sash windows, all with rubbed brick segmental heads. The south gable has a single glazing bar light to the left, and above it, a single Yorkshire sash, both with segmental heads. At the rear, there is irregular 20th-century window replacement and a central glazing bar sash above. The building is included on the list solely for group value.
