Description

The Old Hall is a house dating from the late 18th century, likely incorporating an earlier building. It is constructed of dressed coursed rubble with a tiled roof. The structure features a single left gable dressed coursed rubble stack and a raised eaves band. To the right, there is a slightly projecting gable end of a side wing, which has a single dressed coursed rubble gable stack and quoins on the right side. The building has an L-plan layout, is two storeys high, and consists of two bays, plus a two-storey, two-bay gable.

The entrance includes a doorway with a half-glazed door and an overlight, sheltered by a late 19th-century decorative wood and tile open porch that features a decorative barge board. To the left of the entrance is a single glazing bar sash window with an ashlar lintel, while to the right are two smaller glazing bar sash windows. On the upper floor, there are two glazing bar sashes, and to their right, two smaller glazing bar sashes, all with ashlar lintels.

The roadside elevation is two storeys high and has three bays. It includes two dressed coursed rubble gable stacks and a raised eaves band. The central window is a glazing bar sash with an ashlar lintel, flanked by single recessed panels under segmental arches. Above, there are two glazing bar sashes with a single similar panel and arch to the left. To the right is a lower two-storey, single-bay wing, which has a left dressed coursed rubble gable stack and a raised eaves band, featuring a single glazing bar sash on the first floor. Further to the right, set back, is a two-storey three-bay wing with a dressed coursed rubble right gable stack and a raised eaves band, containing a single narrow glazing bar sash with two glazing bar sashes to the right. Above this is a single narrow glazing bar sash and to the right, a single glazing bar sash, all with ashlar lintels.
