Description

This listing describes a pair of ornamental cast and wrought iron gate piers and a gate located 100 meters southeast of Osberton Hall. They were created by the Thomlinson-Walker ironworks of York in the late 19th century. The gate piers are square and feature a lattice design, adorned with Greek Key patterns and topped with pyramidal caps. The gates are a pair of diagonally braced, seven-barred structures, each equipped with a tapered octagonal stop and catch on either side. These features contribute to their significance as part of the overall group value of the site.
