Description

The Manor is a late 18th-century house located on the west side of South Street in Nortonton-on-Trent. It is built of red brick, with the base rendered. The roof is covered in pantiles, and there are two rear chimney stacks, one of yellow brick and the other of red brick. The house is two storeys high plus a garret, with three bays. The central doorway has a partly glazed door, flanked by single tripartite sash windows with glazing bars. Above, there are three smaller sash windows. All openings are set within segmental arches, and there are two round tie plates. A later brick and pantile lean-to, set back on the right side, extends from the main structure. The interior features a straight staircase with a turned newel and stick balusters.
