Description
West Retford House is a large red brick mansion built in the late 18th century, featuring three storeys. The central section has five windows with keystones and no glazing bars, topped by an old tiled roof. The wings are two storeys high, each with two windows, while the centre has a blank window that breaks forward. A later addition is a projecting porch with stone quoins and a cornice, which includes a doorway with a moulded surround and a pediment supported by brackets. The entrance has a fielded door beneath a round-headed fanlight. West Retford House and its stabling are part of a group.
