Description

Markham Moor Inn and the attached cottage are located on the south side of Old London Road in West Drayton. The inn dates from the early 19th century and features a stucco exterior with a hipped pantile roof. It has two ridge stacks and a single stack located at the left and rear. The inn is two and a half storeys tall and consists of four bays. The entrance has a part-glazed door with an overlight, framed by a moulded wooden surround. On either side of the doorway are canted bay windows, each containing three sash windows. Further to the left is an additional single sash window. The upper level has four sash windows, and the top floor features four smaller sash windows. To the right, there is a single-storey extension with one bay, also stuccoed and topped with a hipped pantile roof, which includes a small glazing bar casement. The rear of the building has various wings.

Attached to the left of the inn and set back is the cottage, which is also finished in stucco with a pantile roof and has a stack on the left gable. The left gable is raised and features brick coping with a kneeler, along with a raised eaves band. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway has a panelled door and overlight set beneath a segmental arch. To the right, there is a small 20th-century casement window, and further right is a glazing bar sash window under a segmental arch. To the left, there is a similar sash window under a segmental arch. The upper level contains two 20th-century glazing bar casements in their original openings.
