Description

Chequerhouse Bridge 51 is a road bridge over the Chesterfield Canal, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with squared stone coping and features a single semi-elliptical arch that includes a towpath. The arch has springing stones, and the swept wings of the bridge terminate in piers. The Chesterfield Canal itself was constructed between 1771 and 1777.
