Description
The Rosary is a late 18th-century house located on Church Street in East Markham. It is constructed of red brick, with some render and colour wash to the base. The roof is tiled, with pantiles, and features left gable and single ridge stacks. The gables are raised and have slate coping with kneelers, and the eaves are dentil-detailed. The building is two storeys plus a garret, with a four-bay front. A doorway features a part-glazed and panelled door with a traceried overlight. To the left of the doorway is a single-pane Yorkshire sash window, and to the right are two similar sashes. All ground-floor windows are set beneath segmental arches. Above, a single tripartite Yorkshire sash window is paired with a single smaller sash to the right, and two further similar tripartite sashes. To the right, a section of the building is set back, and includes a lean-to with a plank door and a single-storey single-bay wing with a projecting 20th-century lean-to incorporating two blocked openings.
