Description

Carburton Grange is a house dating from circa 1700, significantly altered in the early 19th century. The front is rendered with a pantile roof and two gable stacks, while the rear is red brick. The three-bay, two-storey front features a central half-glazed panelled door with tracery and a margin light, set within a broad architrave with a flat hood on cut brackets. Flanking the door are single glazing bar sashes in architrave surrounds, and above are three similar windows to the first floor. Inside, a staircase has plain balusters and a wreathed handrail, leading to an open hall with two Tuscan columns. A rear room contains two stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
