Description
The Old Rectory, now divided into two houses, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered and partly colourwashed red brick, featuring a partly hipped slate roof with red ridge tiles and three ridge stacks, along with a single hip and single gable stack. The building is two storeys high with a five-bay front. To the right, there is a projecting porch that has a round-headed doorway with a raised keystone and a broad pilastered doorcase. The imposts of the doorcase continue over the wall to the left and right, leading to a partially glazed door.
To the left of the porch, there is a splayed bay window with three glazing bar sashes, which are separated by narrow pilasters. On the right side, there is another splayed bay window featuring long glazing bar doors flanked by plain sashes. Additionally, there is a pair of 20th-century glazing bar windows to the right, alongside a 19th-century broad glazing-bar sash with a segmental head. Above, there are five glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. The south return of the building showcases two two-storey splayed bay windows, each with three glazing bar sashes on both storeys, again divided by narrow pilasters.
