Description
The monument to Mary Roach is located 4 yards from the southeast end of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Toft Newton. It consists of two former Anglo-Saxon cross shafts, dating from the 10th century and 1944. The structure is made of ashlar and features two cross shafts with interlace decoration, topped by a plain stone cross from the 20th century. This monument commemorates Mary Jessie Louisa Roach, who died in 1944. It is listed for its group value only.
