Description

No. 4 Church Road is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was raised and refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of orange brick and features a pantile roof with two brick gable stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-bay front, characterized by a dentillated eaves course. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed panelled door, which is flanked by single glazing bar Yorkshire sash windows. On the first floor, there are two smaller windows of a similar style. All openings have segmental brick heads. Inside, there is an exposed chamfered beam. The building is listed for its group value.
