Description
The farmhouse dates from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. Constructed of red brick with painted ashlar dressings, it has a large hipped slate roof and two ridge stacks. The building is square in plan, with a five-bay front. The front features a plinth, a first-floor ashlar band, and moulded ashlar eaves. Ashlar pilaster strips mark the angles. The central entrance has a half-glazed, four-panelled door with a bordered overlight, set within a moulded stone architrave with a keyblock. Flanking the door are pairs of tall, plain sash windows, and above are five further plain sash windows. All windows have flat, rubbed brick arched heads with raised ashlar keystones. A semi-circular headed light illuminates the staircase from a side-wall window. Inside, exposed beams feature simple chamfered stops.
