Description

The Old Museum is a former schoolmaster's house, built in the early 18th century with some mid-19th century alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a steeply pitched slate roof, which includes coped and tumbled dormers with small plain sash windows. The building has a five-bay front, with a central doorway that has a segmental head, a blind overlight, and a panelled door. On either side of the doorway, there are two plain sash windows, all of which have segmental heads. To the right, there is a low single-storey addition from the 19th century.
