Description
The barn at Kettlethorpe Hall, originally built as stables with a granary above, dates from the 18th century and has 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with raised brick coped gables. The building is two stories high and has a first-floor band and a dogtooth eaves course. It consists of four bays, with a building line between the second and third bays. There are two sets of double doors and two early 19th-century hinged cast iron casements, both with segmental heads. Inside, there is a chamfered beam. The north front has blocked openings and three additional cast iron lights. Attached to the barn is a 19th-century pump, which is housed in a wooden casing and includes a lever handle and lead spout, with a stone trough at its base.
